The Takeshi Saji VG10 Rainbow Damascus Etched Bunka combines striking aesthetics with exceptional cutting performance. Hand-forged by renowned Echizen blacksmith Takeshi Saji, the blade features a VG10 stainless steel core for excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and easy maintenance.
The blade is clad in stunning Rainbow Damascus with copper and brass layers, creating a vivid multi-toned pattern. The etched finish enhances the flowing layered structure, giving the knife its distinctive visual depth.
The Bunka profile, with its characteristic K-tip, offers excellent precision for detailed work while remaining versatile for slicing, dicing, and chopping vegetables, fish, and boneless meats.
Each knife is paired with our signature K&S amboyna burl handle, selected to complement the warm copper and brass tones of the blade. The handle alone has a standalone value of $180, making this piece not only a beautiful performer but also exceptional value.
- Don't cut hard things! Japanese knives are brittle so bone hacking is a NO NO!
- Wash with neutral detergent after use, and wipe dry;
- Please don't wash knife with dishwasher, it will damage the wood handle;
- Be careful not to leave the knife close to a heat source for a long time;
- It is a lot more dangerous to cut with a blunt knife than a sharp knife!
- It is best to sharpen a Japanese knife regularly on a waterstone.
