The B-4 Rectangular Japanese Konro Hibachi BBQ is a compact charcoal grill designed for authentic Japanese tabletop grilling. Its practical size makes it ideal for yakitori, kushiyaki, yakiniku, seafood, vegetables, and small BBQ gatherings for 2–4 people.
Made in Japan by Kinka, the B-4 is crafted from diatomaceous earth, a traditional material valued for its excellent insulation and heat retention. This helps keep the intense heat of binchotan or quality lump charcoal inside the grill, allowing efficient charcoal use and the high cooking temperature required for Japanese-style BBQ.
Compared with round shichirin grills, the rectangular konro shape is more suitable for cooking skewers. The longer grilling surface allows yakitori, kushiyaki, seafood, vegetables, and other skewered ingredients to rest neatly across the grill, making it easier to turn and cook multiple skewers at once.
