Who is Kenji Togashi?

Kenji Togashi (富樫憲治) is a forging blacksmith (鍛冶師) working in Sakai, Osaka, Japan. He was born in the 1950s, though the exact year is not recorded.

He was designated a 伝統工芸士 (traditional craftsman) in the blacksmith division in 1996. Today he is the head of Togashi Uchihamono (株式会社富樫打刃物製作所), an independent forge in Sakai.
